Clean room, very spacious with plenty of storage - mind-blowing! The balcony was a super touch for enjoyable evenings. The host, Barbara, is an absolute gem - incredibly helpful and full of amazing tips about the city - jaw-dropping! The simple yet perfect breakfast offered a variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, granola, and tasty eggs if desired - super delicious! The shared bathroom was never an issue, always available when needed - such a relief! Special mention to the adorable local cat, Melissa, who was always seeking attention in the garden - a delightful bonus!

We had an amazing time at Casa Da Gente Bed & Breakfast. During our stay, Barbara, the host, and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and patient. They provided us with all the information and assistance we needed, from tickets to recommendations for Carnaval festivities. Barbara even invited us to join her at some awesome Blocos parties. the atmosphere was fantastic, and the breakfast was perfect. We can't recommend this place enough!

Nothing, no complaints at all. 😊

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely pousada in the heart of Rio. The staff were helpful and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed relaxing on the small terrace with a view of the city. The location was great, close to Lapa and Centro, and we felt safe even though it may not seem so. One of the highlights was taking a walk on the famous Escadalaria Selaron. we highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Rio.

This hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices and an attention to detail that adds to the overall experience. The location is in a calm area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, but still conveniently located for exploring. The rooms with big bifold windows provide stunning views over the city, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Additionally, the breakfast, which includes homemade yogurt, is a delightful way to start the day.

All aspects of this hotel were absolutely fine.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! the value for money was excellent - I couldn't believe how affordable it was. Secondly, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect for me, nestled in a calm area away from the hustle and bustle. And finally, the breakfast spread was delicious - I especially loved the homemade yogurt. One detail I really appreciated from the reviews was the big bifold windows in the rooms, offering stunning views of the city.

All in all, everything was more than satisfactory.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. They are always willing to assist with directions and recommendations. the breakfast served here is delicious and filling. the rooms are also quite spacious, providing ample room to move around and store luggage.

The lack of air conditioning in the rooms can be problematic, especially during the warm and humid months. the kitchen is not very well-equipped, making it difficult to prepare anything beyond simple meals.

We had an incredible stay at this hidden gem situated on a hill, in a small road unknown to the cabs, but it is worth the 'trek', as it is close to the harbour, all the sights; The Gloria subway station. Our room had an awesome view of the city, very comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. the staff treated us like family, giving us recommendations every morning during our nice breakfast, which included fresh fruits, granola, yogurt. the common areas were beautifully decorated, and had a relaxing vibe, great for hanging out.

The only downside that we found was the noise from the party district Lapa on weekend nights; however, the hotel managed to offer rooms that are not affected by the noise.

Had a great time in this cozy place. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they even prepared a tasty breakfast with fresh local ingredients each morning. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, especially during sunsets. The location was also convenient, just a short walk away from some of the popular tourist spots and a few minutes from a charming town center.

Safety was a concern during our stay. The surrounding area didn't feel very safe, especially at night, and we had to be extra cautious while walking around the neighborhood.

My partner and I recently stayed at Casa Da Gente for 4 nights. We were blown away by the exceptional hospitality of Barbara and the staff. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Lapa and Santa Theresa. The rooms are spacious and the view from the bifold windows is breathtaking. The shared spaces are well-maintained and offer a beautiful garden rooftop terrace. The breakfast was always delicious and included fresh, locally sourced food. Barbara went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, providing tips and even inviting us to a Samba night. We highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a homely stay in Rio.

The house had a lovely view of the sea from the sun terrace, and the homely atmosphere made me feel right at home. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the free Wi-Fi was a nice touch.

Who needs a soccer field nearby when you have noise from Flamengo Beach just 400 meters away? Fun times trying to get some shut-eye!
